Smart cards are an important tool for many security solutions. However, computing and memory resources of smart cards are often restricted so that highly efficient implementations are needed. Physical security (side channel- and tamper resistance) is important as well. In the next few years the RFID (radio frequency identification) technology will play a fundamental role for applications such as intelligent barcodes, logistics applications and electronic IDs. RFIDs are even more restricted than smart cards with respect to memory and computing power, so that entirely new security mechanisms have to be developed.
escrypt offers all security technologies needed for the smartcard and RFID sector, including system design, highly efficient cryptographic implementations, physical security and support of evaluation processes. escrypt counts leading representatives of the smartcard sector as its customers.
