We would like to inform you that the 7th escar
Conference dedicated to embedded security in vehicles will take place
at Düsseldorf International Airport's conference centre November 24 -
25, 2009.
The conference will start with a sightseeing tour to
experience the airport from a new perspective. Afterwards we will
provide you with a top-class conference program including
internationally renowned speakers in the area of Embedded Security for
vehicle IT-systems. The program will comprise both invited talks and
peer-reviewed papers. At the traditional escar Conference dinner you
can socialize with other conference guests.
We would like to encourage you and your colleagues
to submit papers to the escar conference. Theoretical articles,
scientific articles, case studies and real-world experiences are
welcome. Please consider the Call for Submission. The submission deadline is June 29, 2009.

Mobility" at the D.A.CH conference on May 20th, 2009. escrypt's
presentation will elaborate the following topics: Electric vehicles:
State-of-the-art, Threads of electric vehicle systems (e.g. payment
systems), Secure metering and Privacy preservation. Further information

- Automotive Software Engineering Colloquium
Within the framework of "Automotive Software Engineering Colloquium"
which takes place in Darmstadt, escrypt presents "Automotive Security:
Existing solutions and new approaches" on May 19th, 2009 at Darmstadt
University of Technology. More information concerning the Automotive
Software Engineering Colloquium is available at the organizer`s web site.
escrypt presents two articles at the ITS Annual Meeting
in National Harbor, MD, June 1-3. The first presentation will describe
the current state of security and privacy in vehicular networks, and it
will present approaches to overcome current hurdles. The second
presentation will give an overview of security issues that will arise
with the deployment of electric vehicles. To our best knowledge,
escrypt is the first to approach security issues for electric vehicles.
- SAE 2009 World Congress in Detroit
escrypt presented three papers at the SAE 2009 World Congress
in Detroit, April 20-23, 2009. The papers cover an introduction to
Secure Software Flashing as well as Vehicular Embedded Security and
Secure Feature Activation. For further information concerning these

- IWLS 2009 (International Workshop on Logic & Synthesis) in Berkely
escrypt presents a survey talk about embedded security at the IWLS 2009 conference
in Berkely, California, July 31 - August 2, 2009. The presentation
covers various topics of embedded security such as secure software
download and verification, component identification, and secure feature

escrypt presents the talk "Unforgeable product authentication and
product tracing in the supply chain" at the "Transport Logistics 2009"
fair. escrypt's talk considers the aspect of protection against
plagiarism by using RFID technology and cryptographic primitives to
provide mutual authentication of products and services. More
