There have been huge advances in quantum computing in recent years and the first computer capable of breaking today's asymmetric cryptography may be here in less than ten years. Automotive manufacturers and suppliers using asymmetric cryptography to secure products with long lifecycles need to start looking for secure alternatives now.
- In a new white paper entitled “Post-quantum cryptography in automotive,” ESCRYPT looks at the current state of post-quantum cryptography, highlights the challenges for future automotive systems, and names potential solutions.
- With its post-quantum security consulting service, ESCRYPT is already offering customized recommendations for action, drawing up quantum-secure solutions specifically for automotive applications, and pointing the way toward integrating post-quantum solutions into E/E architectures.
- A recorded webinar entitled “Post-quantum cryptography in the automotive industry” provides an initial overview of the topic. In it, security expert Dr. Efstathia Katsigianni explains what ramifications the development of quantum computers will have for the IT security of vehicle systems.
