With a ceremonial groundbreaking, ETAS GmbH has officially started construction work on its new ESCRYPT Home development center in Bochum’s MARK 51°7 innovation district. On the site of a former Opel factory, a five-story building with over 10,000 square meters of office and usable space will be built for ESCRYPT by the end of 2022.
Christoph Hartung took over as chairman of the Board of Management of ETAS GmbH, ESCRYPT’s parent company, effective January 1, 2021. Hartung was previously at Bosch as Executive Vice President of the Connected Mobility Solutions division. Hartung succeeds Friedhelm Pickhard, who successfully led and shaped the company for ten years.
For the second time, ESCRYPT has awarded Bachelor graduates from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) with the Young Talent Award. At the academic celebration of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, ESCRYPT Managing Director Dr. Thomas Wollinger awarded 20 students who stood out for their outstanding performance concentrated on IT security.
The renowned business magazine Capital and the statistics portal Statista have named ESCRYPT one of the “Most Innovative Companies in Germany 2020.” In a survey of over 3,000 industry experts, ESCRYPT was acknowledged for its particular innovativeness in the field of “Technology & Telecommunications.”
