Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), paid a visit to ESCRYPT headquarters in Bochum. The minister learned about the importance of vehicle cybersecurity in the face of increasingly connected and automated mobility.
The Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Auto-ISAC) today announced the appointment of Dr. Martin Emele as the European Regional Director (ERD). In this role, Martin Emele will be responsible for establishing and leading the European Regional Branch of the Auto-ISAC in order to advance Cybersecurity of the Connected Vehicle across the Industry.

The title is based on a survey of 25,000 industry and innovation experts, who in 2019 again rated ESCRYPT as one of the most innovative small and medium-size enterprises in the Technology & Telecommunications category.
The Max Planck Society, Germany’s leading organization for basic research, has announced the establishment of a new “Max Planck Institute for Cyber Security and Privacy Protection” (MPI) in Bochum. The new institute may be located within close proximity of the future ESCRYPT headquarters.
“Creating security” is the new Cube 5 start-up initiative’s motto. Ruhr-Universität Bochum and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research want to further enhance Bochum’s outstanding reputation for IT security with targeted support for spin-offs and start-ups. ESCRYPT is providing the start-up incubator with the office space and specialist support it needs.
