On June 21, ETAS Korea signed a partnership agreement with software and service provider Suresoft for its security division ESCRYPT to cooperate in the field of automotive cybersecurity testing.
The increasing connectivity of modern vehicles brings new risks from a security standpoint. To safeguard connected systems against unauthorized access and attacks by cybercriminals, the new ISO/SAE 21434 standard “Road vehicles – Cybersecurity engineering” embodys a security-by-design-based approach. It provides for comprehensive testing at the component and system level. This will make security testing an acid test for security measures and an integral part of type approval. Performing and evaluating the tests requires specific know-how.
